About Us

Casino Rama, Orillia, Ontario
We were commissioned to execute 5 murals 5’x9’6” depicting local landscape for the VIP lounge. For three smaller landscape paintings (4’x4’) we incorporated contemporary Chinese abstraction. These paintings can be found in the Chinese Restaurant.

Windsor Casino, Windsor, Ontario
Three paintings 5’x14’ and two paintings on canvas 4’x5’ were commissioned by John O’Brien, President of the Windsor Casino for the VIP/Canadian Club Lounge. The paintings were designed in an art deco style depicting gambling scenes. The murals were so well received we were awarded the Northern Belle Casino Project.

Northern Belle Casino, Windsor, Ontario
Over a three month period, we were commissioned to execute a series of murals for four levels of a New Orleans Steamboat, The Northern Belle. Each level varied in theme i.e. Jazz, Mardi Gras, Bijou and French Quarter. The paintings varied in size from 7’x3’ to 40’x9’.

Sheraton Hotels, Toronto, Canada
The client commissioned five acrylic-on-canvas paintings (each 12’x16’) for their downtown hotel lobby. The mandate was to create landscapes which depicted green areas within Metropolitan Toronto.

Movenpick Restaurants of Switzerland, Toronto, Canada
We designed and produced 13,000 square feet of mural work and special finishes for a popular restaurant chain in downtown Toronto. The pieces created a contemporary rendition of Mediterranean and French restaurant themes. The work included eight different finish techniques applied to walls, fixtures, furniture, and lighting.

Matisse Restaurant
Rank Hotels North America Inc., Toronto, Canada
Rank Hotels, one of the largest hotel developers worldwide and the designer, Robynn Moncur, wanted to create an identity for the main restaurant in a centrally located hotel in downtown Toronto. In preparation for the presentation to Rank Hotels, we built an architectural model and produced a full scale mockup, illustrating their concept - an interior that evoked a sense of being enveloped in a ‘Matisse’ painting. The project demanded murals to be painted on every structural surface of the restaurant, including trompe l’oeil carpets, wallpaper, icons, fireplace, window frames, even the view from the window in the style of Matisse.

Novotel New York, New York City, USA
Five 30’x10’ painted murals were commissioned in 1992 to create an image and personality for Novotel in Manhattan. The mandate was to transform the lobby into a friendly welcoming first impression with a European flavour. The paintings, created in the style of the French Impressionists, were so effective in creating an image identity that Novotel subsequently incorporated the imagery into their stationery package, advertising campaign and corporate newsletter. The major challenges of this project were: to complete an out-of-country installation in six weeks; to create murals in the style of an artistically significant period; to present a strong artistic movement in a form that would appeal to Novotel’s diverse clientele; and to produce each mural on a single piece of canvas 30’x10’.

Sony Music Canada, Toronto, Canada
An engraved and burnished metal wall sculpture (40’x12’)was commissioned by the architect for Sony’s Canadian headquarters, who needed an artistic solution for an extremely visible curving wall. Taking into consideration the high tech space with its industrial edge and exposed raw materials, we worked on-site to produce an intriguing metal wall. The challenges included, creating a sculpture which would possess a strong presence and still have long term appeal; developing a protective finish for the metal which would allow the surface to come through and not appear coated; and researching new techniques of patterning the specified material.

Cineplex Odeon, Les Cours Mont Royal
Cineplex Odeon, Montreal, Canada
Painted mural, 34 individual paintings - 300 linear feet x 6 feet, three painted panels. The project was to portray a dramatic Egyptian theme in a Cineplex Odeon theatre complex in Montreal. The challenges were to create murals for walls that were not yet constructed; a four-week time schedule and an out of Toronto location. After extensive research, the murals were painted on canvas in Toronto and shipped to Montreal for installation by our staff.

Acqua Ristorante & Bar, Toronto, Canada
Mixed media sculpture - 8’ x 3-1/2’. One of Toronto's foremost restaurateurs commissioned us to design, fabricate and install a sculptural screen. The screen had to provide a visual barrier to the kitchen area; to be complementary to the overall design; and to be completed quickly to meet the opening day deadline.
